Watch for the hidden data exchanges. Some CRM systems are made up of distinct modules or applications that require data to be transferred from one to the other. As seen in part 1, CRM is communicate, communicate, communicate. When talking to a donor, the conversation could be about past conversations, events, pledges, payments, designations, volunteerism, agency information, etc. Do you or will you have all of this data at your fingertips in your CRM system? Will you have to build new extensions to have that data there? How much will all that cost?
