15-Year Thank You
Helix is very pleased to announce that, as of this month, the United Way of Greater Cincinnati, the United Way of Greater Milwaukee, the United Way of Southeastern Pennsylvania (Philadelphia), and the United Way of the Bay Area (San Francisco) have been customers of Helix for 15 years! It was back in 1993 that these four United Ways purchased FMS (Andar/360's predecessor) as their donor management software. They have since all converted to Andar. Helix is grateful for the business it has received over the years, and looks forward to continuing its relationship with these valued customers.

Andar/360 Release 2008.01
Release 2008.01 has been delayed by one week. It will now be available January 23rd. The delay is mostly due to the number of last minute enhancements we are trying to fit into this new release.


e-Class: Generating Tax Receipt Letters
January 15 & 16, 2008, 1:30 ET

Helix has scheduled this e-Class in mid-December and mid-January for those who would like to get a 'head-start' on their receipt submission.

In this e-Class, students will explore the entire process of creating IRS tax letters; from selecting transactions using cutoff dates, date ranges and threshold amounts through to downloading the data to the workstation and merging it into an MSWord tax letter document.

Pre-requisites: Basic knowledge of Andar including general knowledge of transaction entry. Knowledge of mail merges in Microsoft Word or other software used to merge Andar data into the tax letter template. Knowledge of IRS tax laws regarding charitable giving receipts.

Target audience: Finance department or person responsible for sending out IRS tax letters.

Helix Development Week
January 7th to 11th, 2008

Every year we assemble all of our CSRs from across the country into our offices for a week of internal meetings and cross-training sessions. This allows us to discuss better ways to serve our customers, to improve our processes, and to prepare for the coming year. On Wednesday the 9th, our entire staff will be off-site for an all-day staff meeting.

Our Help Desk will be open as usual except for Wednesday, where the Help Desk will be open for emergencies only. We ask that you leave a voice mail message detailing the urgency of your situation. The voice mailbox will be monitored hourly. We apologize for any inconveniences this may cause.


United Way Users Group
This year's Andar conference is shaping up to be the best one yet! Attend training classes, participate in best practice sessions, get hands-on experience, learn about new features, and find out what's in the works. Two days devoted to Community Building and e-Community. One day focused on Major Gifts officers and CRM. A total of 88 sessions to choose from!
