Corporations are more and more looking to run their employee giving campaign via the Internet in order to reduce their costs, but many are reluctant to supply the fundraiser operating the
online giving web site with the names and e-mail addresses of their employees, let alone salary information needed to compute pledges as a percentage of salary.
A large United Way on the east coast was facing precisely that problem with a Fortune 500 corporation in their constituency with which they have enjoyed a long-standing relationship. The problem was solved by teaming with the corporation and helping them install a copy of the Andar/360 Fundraising Software within the corporate LAN –– i.e., behind the corporate firewall.

Employee Giving Campaign Coordinator with all the facilities to present the corporate message to employees on the web page, to collect pledges electronically, and to view on-line and in real time the progress of the campaign in all divisions of the company.
Andar/360’s e-Pledging facility allows the corporation to run its
campaign nationally while the local United Way organization maintains its close relationship with the corporation. Given that this United Way is a user of Andar/360
Fundraising Software, its personnel can provide guidance to the corporation on the use of Andar/360’s data export functions. Using these functions, the corporation’s personnel can extract and transmit at will whatever information is deemed appropriate to update the workplace campaign data at the United Way, where the received file is uploaded into the
donor database via Andar/360’s data import facilities.
As a result, the corporation was able to maintain its employee privacy policies while using the Internet to reduce the cost of processing pledges.
